Abbeywood Estate is nestled away in the woodlands of Cheshire and makes the perfect location for a laid back, chilled wedding day and that’s the kind of day Gemma and Martin enjoyed!

They said I Do surrounded by their friends and family in a relaxed ceremony followed by beautiful sunshine, canapés and drinks. Not too shabby for an end of March wedding hey!?

I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful pair just before they left for Australia a few years ago, so when they got back and decided to get married I was honoured I was the person they thought of to capture their special day. Especially considering the last time I shot for them I think I was still in College!

The day was everything they had said they wanted! Relaxed vibe, just roll with the flow, they didn’t want loads of group photos and they just wanted to have fun so thats what we did! The Humbuckers played up a storm and the selfie booth got seriously abused…..and yes Me and Jay did partake in the use of oversized pixel glasses and inappropriate signage.

A big shout out to Peacock Puds who provided sooooooooo many brownies and rice crispy treats that me and Jay walked away with 6 each (may have had two before we even shot the first dance don’t judge haha!) and a bag full of pick and mix to which my boys where very happy to receive when I came falling through the door!
