Lake Bled in Slovenia is a stunning location for a destination wedding and this is exactly the place Emma and Matt decided on for their special day. Starting at Vila Alice for both preparations, the morning was so chilled out you wouldn’t think they where going to be getting married later that afternoon.
The day was to hold two special ceremonies, the first being a blessing at Pilgrimage Church of the assumption of Maria which is on the island in the centre of the lake. The second which was a civil ceremony was then held at Vila Bled in the gardens that overlook the lake.
Between the ceremonies, the hotel reception and the tree house evening celebrations, fun was had on the lake with drinks, canapés and music performed by Matt Baxter! Have you ever tried standing up in a row boat on a lake?! Im telling you now it ain’t easy!…..BUT it’s oh so funny!
The day ran seamlessly with the help and coordination of Petra at De Petra and the team at Villa Bled. Everything from the summer themed flower arrangements to the honey brandy wedding favours where perfect. I honestly do not think a better day could have been had by all.

“We would highly recommend her as she is so personal and friendly. She did exactly what we asked of her, capturing natural and special moments throughout the day. She goes the extra mile … from helping with dressing the bride and the grooms button hole to rowing a boat out into the lake and laying on her front to find the perfect shot.”- Emma & Matt
