I LOVE doing my Destination Weddings. As a Destination Wedding Photographer I feel very lucky to have such a wonderful job allowing me to work and see the world…So much so I got to shoot 6 last year! One of them being the Wedding day of the beautiful Hannah & Elliot who said I Do in Le Ciel, Santorini, Greece back in May.

Along with my second shooter Anesta (who isn’t second but first and foremost my right hand lady and the other half to my photographic whole) we travelled over to Santorini to capture this special day along with 50 of their closest friends and family.

I spent a beautiful morning with the Bride, Hannah and her girls as they got ready with the help of Julia Popova Hair and Make Up, accompanied by Videographer Andreas Markovic. While I watched Hannah get into her breathtaking Pronovias gown, Anesta got to hang out with the rowdy boy as they spruced up for the big day in their M&S tailored suits.

The venue was STUNNING to say the least thanks to the planning of the team at Le Ciel, the beautiful floral works of Floralia by Santorini Wed and dressing by Weddings & Whimsy. The sounds of Michalis Karamolegos filled the air as guests arrived to await the Bridal Party. Even one of the Groomsmen grabbed the guitar and tickled a tune or two. Music really does create the perfect atmosphere don’t you think?

The only thing that could distract from the music was the sweet smell of the wedding cake made by Alexandras Cakes and I cannot lie that my eye wasn’t caught by the basket of chocolate covered Oreos that where handmade by Hannahs Aunty.

This day truly was breathtakingly beautiful from start to finish! The heat…what heat? The yellow sandy rain….what yellow sandy rain? Everything was perfect, right down to the firework lit first dance at the end.
