Wedding Photography at Dana Villas, Santorini: Carly & Jim
Destination Wedding photography is something I adore and get to do several times a year all over the world. Santorini has been one of the most popular destinations of 2018 and I was lucky enough to shoot two there in one week!
Myself and my right hand Anesta ventured over as you may have read in the blog for Hannah & Elliot back in May last year. While we where there I also got to shoot the big day of Carly and Jim who said I Do at the stunning and totally instagramable Dana Villas!
With the help of Divine Weddings Santorini, Carly and Jim planned the perfect day for 30 of their closest friends and family. This wedding was very different to our first wedding from the day before, in many different but equally as stunning!
I think their wedding would be very similar to my own….chilled, laid back, no fuss fun.
Carly did her own hair (obviously being a hair stylist) and make up (guided by Kerry Baker MUA) and also styled her bridesmaids hair that morning as they got ready in the apartment across from where Jim and his family where sprucing up!.
Everyone took the morning at such a leisurely pace, it was worlds away from the UK weddings that I normally do. There was no stress, panic, worry or rush. Just presents being opened, giggles had and tears shed.
The day went off without a hitch as everyone gathered at the stunning Dana Villas for the rooftop ceremony overlooking the stunning Caldera. By the time the formalities where finished and everyone made their way over to The V Lounge (the place where they got engaged) everyone was happy and ready to get the party started!
Alongside Paul of Love Films, me and Anesta had an emotional time capturing the wedding of a good industry friend. I thank Carly & Jim for allowing me to be the one to capture their special day as I know they could have had their pick of anyone in the northwest!
