Weddings at Inn on the Lake in the Lake District are some of the most beautiful come rain our shine! This venue is the one that was chosen by Jo and Ben for their wedding day and what a beautiful and fun day it was.
I first met this beautiful family of 4 when Jo and Ben had their second little girl! She came to my old studio for a little sibling session and before they even left the building they had booked me for their wedding day! (I must have made a good first impression!)
On the morning of July 29th me and Phil made our way over to Lake Windermere (one of my favourite places for weddings). It was raining and grey but when you walked into the room where Jo was getting ready you wouldn’t think this was so. Everyone was in high spirits and the girls where all hyped up ready for the amazing day ahead.
Jo looked so beautiful having had her hair styled by the crazy and amazing Michelle Beswick and her makeup by my lovely friend Kate Smith. Her beautiful gown, Tabina by Pronivias fitted perfectly and everyone was excited to reveal its hidden secret………..a two in one gown!
The ceremony was an intimate gathering of their close friends and family and full of emotion as Jo’s best friend and eldest daughter stood and spoke hand picked readings. Not a dry eye in the house by the end of it but the outside finally was! The sun shone just as the couple said their I Do’s and made their way out into the gardens for drinks and ice-cream!!! We all love ice-cream!!!
Ben was given a private reveal before speeches of Jo’s beautiful ‘second’ gown and boy was it worth the wait for everyone as she looked even more beautiful (which one wouldn’t think possible!).
The wedding breakfast looked absolutely stunning having been dresses by the lovely Laura Tuer of Greenwheat and Fika. The tables where all named after locations in Italy where the couple would be visiting on their honeymoon. The colours blended perfectly with the venues decor and the beautiful cake by Corr’s Cakes took pride of place behind the Bride and Groom.
The party then carried on into The Snug when’re Jo and her girls performed a special routine for the blushing Groom. It was so much fun to see all the ladies getting up and having a good time. Entertainment was provided by The Manhattan Vinyl Club who I have seen at events before and they did not disappoint!! The dance floor was full the second we walked in to get the evening underway!
Thanks to Jo and Ben for having me and Phil capture their wedding. Congratulations guys!
