A few weeks ago I headed up toward my most favourite part of the country to photograph the wonderfully friendly couple that is Jo and Tom on their wedding day at Askham Hall!

This venue is relatively new when it comes to holding weddings so I was so happy and honoured when Jo asked me to be their photographer for their special day! This venue has it all from amazing grounds to a stunning house. You can even visit during the weekdays and purchase some of their amazing plants or visit their cafe where you can get some of the Lake Districts most amazing food including bread from the famous Lovingly Artisan.

The day itself couldn’t have been more perfect! With amazing blue skies and white clouds. The sun shone all day for this beautiful pair as they made their vows in the Barn and then made their way over to the main house for the first part of their reception.

The Giants Pathway, Gypsy Caravan and Gardens where the perfect settings for couples portraits. They looked just perfect standing together as we took them away for some alone time.

Such detail went into this special day, from lawn games to flip flops for dancing. Even the best man pulled out all of the stops with some unique props during his speech! Jo wore a stunning gown which transformed into a stunning hollywood style dress for the evening reception. Tom rocked some killer Tweed shoes and suit! The pair looks amazing.

It was an amazing day with fun and laughs had by all as they watched Jo, Tom, Charlie and Poppy become a family.
